    Despite a packed house we were greeted right away by friendly staff and given a seat at the bar for our takeout order. They gave us an ice cold beer while we waited and delivered our takeout order in about twenty miniutes - record time considering there wasn't an empty table in the house. We had the shrimp creole and the shrimp etoufee with white rice, which were lovely meals for $8.99.

    Pricy and to be honest just average! Happy Hour Bloody Mary was small, but what do you expect for $2. It was spicy with a horseradish kick and was actually pretty good. Barbeque Shrimp - wouldn't order them again; they were basically shrimp scampi. Where do they get the title barbeque shrimp on a shrimp dish, baked in an over conglomeration of butter? Grouper - Not bad, certainly not the best fish I have had recently. Coconut Shrimp - Very good and very flavorful. Customer service was actually very good. Not an overly busy crowd but had a positive vibe. I just don't think I ordered the right meal. I would definitely eat here again.

    As a general rule of thumb, when you are dining on the Alabama Gulf Coast, the smaller the restaurant, the better the food. King Neptune's is a place that we do not miss when we go to the beach. The gumbo was featured on the Food Network for a reason. They have mastered their gumbo recipe and it has a perfect consistency and flavor. Keep in mind, this is not a white wine and tablecloth restaurant. This is perfectly fried shrimp, roll of paper towels on the table kind of restaurant. It is noisy, crowded, and wonderful. My wife always orders the bisque and the the shrimp po-boy and it comes loaded with perfectly fried shrimp that does not have too much batter. I get the gumbo and the shrimp basket because why mess with a good thing? Sometimes, you just need to relax, wear your loudest flip-flops, eat some good fried shrimp with a squeeze bottle of ketchup and have a beer in the bottle. There are still a few good things in life besides pretense.

    My Aunt recommended we try this place and it was pretty dang good! The price was right and the food was good! It is kind of a hole in the wall and the waitress was nice enough although I don't think she liked us very much since we keep asking for like a million things! But I would defiantly go back!

    Love the sea scallops they just melt in your mouth!!!! The oysters are fresh and tasty. I did not try any fried food, it isn't my thing. The salad is skimpy save your side and get something else. But, every trip I have to go here to get the best scallops ever!!!

    Really good food. Old school, no frills, anti-tourist trap place. Had the steamed crab claws to start out. Everyone thought they were delicious. Crab and corn bisque was wonderful. Then had the oyster po boy. Great stuff. Other orders at our table included coconut shrimp, grilled shrimp, and regular ole' fried shrimp. No complaints among the bunch. Arrived in the early evening and the wait wasn't bad at all. Strongly recommend.

    Possibly the best gumbo in Gulf Shores. I've been coming to the area for 30 years and never ate at King Neptunes until recently. Great gumbo & shrimp. My scallops were sweet and tender. This has moved up to my favorites list with Tin Top & Cosmos.

    Just visited again. And again, delicious. Still a bit unnecessarily pricey, but tasty nonetheless. I had the ZYDECO PASTA and you should too. I'm a critic, but that stuff was awesome! My brother in law had the crab stuffed, bacon wrapped shrimp and he loved it. My wife had crab-stuffed tilapia and thought it was very good, but the portion was small. Should you visit, yes! You are not smart if you don't.

    Blacken chicken sandwich was amazing along with the hush puppies and coconut chicken. We waited along time when it was dead but feel like that was not normal. Overall great when guru is closed. 4 hrs later. Went down smooth but came back up rough! Lots of grease . Star change from 4 to 3

    We have come to King Neptune's at least once per year during our beach trips over the past 10 years. The only reason we have come is for the large 4 person platter. We went today and learned that they now only have the two person platter and the price has increased to $125. We asked about the 4 person platter and she told us that would be $125, even though it used to only be $50 more than the two person meal. We ended up ordering something different and it sucked. Out of 6 people, only one person's meal was ok.

    This is a to go place for a comfort food deals . Their food was great and delicious for a reasonable price . I would definitely go back at this place if we're chilling at gulf shores Area . My husband loves the oysters and it's cheaper than anywhere else . Would definitely come back!

    A good place to eat. The atmosphere isn't amazing but the food is good. My wife had the grilled shrimp and blackened tilapia. She said both were great. I had the choose 3 combo, getting the popcorn shrimp, fried scallops and stuffed crab. The shrimp and scallops were really good and while the crab was good it was a little over-cooked( burnt brown instead of golden brown). We had a pre-dinner Hurricane that was decent but needed more booze. The servers were nice and our food came out quickly enough. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at and there isn't too much inside to keep your eye, but it's an eatery not a museum. Just enjoy the food.

    Incredible seafood dive in Gulf Shores, AL. The BEST hand picked, fresh oysters and southern cornmeal fried fish and shrimp I have EVER had! (I'm an experienced southern eater) Plus, $2 margaritas!! Very casual atmosphere. Don't miss this place!!

    Stopped here on a whim on the way home from the beach. The building looks like it may have been a service station in its previous life but is nicely renovated. I had the crab claws and they were very tasty and full of meat. My husband had the fried shrimp and said they were delicious. He liked the light breading on them. The slaw was very tasty. I love hushpuppies and theirs were very good with jalapeño peppers in them. I had one of the best Hurricanes that I have ever had here! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and will definitely eat here again!

    The price was a RIPOFF, $20 for a 6 inch Po Boy. You're Nuts!!!!!!!!!! $12 would be asking top dollar for a full size 12 inch Po Boy. Once only visit, never will recommend to friends. I only get RIPED OFF ONCE..........

    3 stars only because the food is decent. But by the time you get it might be time for bed it takes so long! Drinks are not the best service is ok and make sure you have plenty of time to make it to the outhouse!

    You want a great local seafood experience? Head to King Neptune's. In the four days I was in Gulf Shores, we spent two of those dinners at King Neptune's. Yes, it's that good. You'll want to try about five different things on the menu - from the gumbo to the King Crab to the Red Royals, nothing disappoints. King Neptune's is great for a couple or a group of 6. More than 6 people and you'll be hard-pressed to find a table or set of tables that can accommodate. The restaurant is on the small side, so it will fill up quickly. We never had a problem walking in during proper dinner hours (6-9p) to get a seat. If you want to try a bit of everything, go for one of the steamed platters. The Neptune's Seafood Platter more than fed the 6 people in our party the first night we visited. If you think you'll need more, order an extra pound of shrimp or dozen oysters. My favorite part of the meal was the hospitality and the little bowl of water with a lemon they brought for each member in our party. Nice touch to get that seafood smell off your hands before you leave. I will be looking forward to my return trip to Alabama so I can visit King Neptune's!

    I have noticed the last few times I have eaten here that the food has gone downhill. I have loved the mushrooms in the past but they have been greasy lately. No more shrimp and grits. The fried shrimp are much smaller. The roast beef poboy was super fatty. The quality of meat was poor. Service is friendly but food quality is slipping.

    This food was so yummy! I had the bisque, stuffed tilapia, and fried cheesecake for dessert. Absolutely delicious! I was visiting during happy hour, so I enjoyed $2 margaritas. The server, Sussie, was so sweet. I'll be back when I'm in the area.

    We had high hopes for this restaurant, but were sadly disappointed. First, we had a party of six, and the hostess wanted to cram us all around a table made for four people. I could understand doing this, if the restaurant was busy, but there were several empty tables nearby and she could have easily pushed two together. When we asked her to push two tables together, she was put out and was very inflexible..."but those tables are in two different sections." Umm, ok. We ordered the baked parmesan garlic oysters as an appetizer and they were terrible. The oysters were barely cooked, so it was like eating shredded cheese (not melted) on top of a lukewarm raw oyster. Nasty. Then I ordered the "New Orleans BBQ shrimp". Now, I've been to New Orleans and know what NO BBQ shrimp should taste like, and this was not it. What I got was basically overpriced shrimp scampi, that tasted worse than what I could get at Red Lobster. I will say that the shrimp were of a decent size and were okay, if I was wanting shrimp scampi. But were they NO BBQ shrimp? Nope. My son had the zydeco pasta. It was tasty, but the portion size was pretty small for the price. My husband ordered the caribbean plate, and wanted to sub fries for cole slaw. The waiter said he couldn't do the substitution. All and all, I would NOT come here again. It is overpriced, bland, and the staff are not accommodating at all.

    I first stumbled upon what I originally thought to be a "hole in the wall" kind of place a few summers ago during my first visit to gulf shores. During that trip, my family and I ate at King Neptunes multiple times for lunch and dinner. Yes, the food is THAT good! Back in gulf shores again this year and we decided to go back immediately for dinner the first night. I almost forgot how good the gumbo is. Just enough spice to make it perfect. My mother had the bisque and enjoyed it so much she got another cup to go. I had the grilled mahi mahi and it was perfect. Everything I have tried at this restaurant I have loved. We are a bit obsessed with this place. Oh, and we also got matching King Neptunes T shirts (nerds, but just can't help ourselves :) The service is always excellent and it's a fun place to have lunch or dinner. We've never had a problem getting a table right away, even if they are relatively busy. This place is a rare gem! Forget the crazy long lines at the oyster house or whatever huge establishment is up the street and check out King Neptunes. You won't be disappointed.

    So disappointed! Crab and corn bisque only tasted of sweet red peppers, just overpowering. The slaw was terrible, like store bought at a bad store. The new orleans style bbq baked shrimp got sent back when it arrived with a garlic parmesan sauce. Waitress called it a traditional new orleans garlic parmesan bbq sauce - except no creole, nor bbq in it. Finally, my royal red shrimp was overcooked to the point I could not peel them without tearing them up. They were extremely 'dirty' and were small. I got 2 small red potatoes that looked like yesterday's.... And the "butter" tasted old or it was bad margarine. Too bad. Go anywhere but Neptune's!

    Long wait, party was separated into two booths. Slow server who didn't check on us until after we had already finished our food. Service is a big deal to me and that's mostly what my review is rated on. Food was okay, but fish only tasted like the blackened seasoning and coconut shrimp was over cooked... Had the Caribbean platter. The grilled shrimp on the platter was fantastic though! Sister in law ordered shrimp Alfredo and something tasted off about it... Couldn't quite place it. The other half of our party had to have their tickets reprinted three times because they couldn't get the separation of the parties correct.

    We came in for lunch, I giggled a little as we pulled into the parking lot and realized it was an old gas station turned restaurant, but luckily I will give dives a try, because I have eaten the best food in my life in the UNLIKELY of places. We were pleasantly greeted at the door, and quickly seated.the interior was that of a homey seafood shack. We loved it. Instead of bread they brought out hush puppy's. They were very tasty. Moist and flavorful. The waitresses was very helpful in guiding us through the menu. We ended up getting calamari as an appetizer, which was perfectly cooked with a chili sauce, I wasn't expecting the chili sauce. But surprised me , the flavor combination was very nice! I wanted to lick the plate. For our lunch we each got a different kind of crab, ( I always make everyone order something different so I can have a taste) and my goodness! It was the best crab we have had all week! The reason being. Is because every single time in my 4----years it was just boiled, the actually added seasoning so as you were eating the crab the seasoning came through.... Who'd thought. We finished it with the in house made fried cheese cake with Caramel sauce, Im not a fan of sweets but my daughter is. BUT that homemade sauce!!!!! it was so good I could have bathed in it!. All this in a reasonable time frame and great service. This my new Gulf Shores favorite. Throughout our trip. My husband and I had to sneak of two more times for the indulgence.

    King Neptune's is a quaint, roadside restaurant in the heart of Gulf Shores located at 1137 Gulf Shores Parkway. I walked into what looked like a typical family owned seafood restaurant with high hopes, looking for a great cup of gumbo and possibly some seafood, depending on the menu. After perusing their menu with probably 50 or more entrees I ordered the gumbo as a starter as I was confident in the recommendations I received. I will say that Kings Neptune's gumbo is flavorful but it's not classic gumbo I've come to expect from living on the gulf coast. Their gumbo was thick with a roux that tasted like a brown gravy mixture. The entree I selected, Crab Stuffed Tilapia, was moderately priced at $9.99. The fish was decent for a frozen filet but was buried under a mountain of a nearly-breaking, under seasoned creole cream sauce. Once I reached the crab in the "crab stuffed tilapia" I was disappointed to find it was a scoop of crab stuffing that was a bit heavy on sage and red peppers. All in all, it was a very underwhelming stuffing recipe. I've never had a crab stuffing with sage and I don't care to ever again. I tried to find a positive in my visit, but there wasn't one. It's quaint, but there are definitely better options for those visiting the area. In my opinion, the owners need to focus on a more simplified menu and update their selections. The flavors are muted and definitely outdated.

    Went to king neptunes for lunch. We had the corn and crab bisque that tasted like mayonnaise, corn and crab. It seemed like thousand island warmed up with crackers. I had a shrimp n crab quesadilla that seemed like a microwave cheeseI had the West Indies salad which was a salty vinegar flavor. I took one bite and my mouth burned. I did not eat it because it was horribly overwhelming. When the check came, the West Indies salad for $18 was still On it after the waiter saw we only took one bite. We asked our waitress who Stated the owners were not going to take it off. Overall this place is a gas station turned heart attack on a plate. Obviously the owners don't know how to treat people or for that matter, food. Total dump, horrible service, should not be in business!

    This is hands down the best place to get any type of fried seafood in the area! The real star at this place though are there po boys, that's the way to go when there, not too expensive they're stuffed full and they are as delicious as it gets! While there do not, whatever you do forget to try their fried cheesecake! Seriously this is the most delicious dessert I've ever had. And I've had a lot of desserts! Service is very fast and very friendly as well! The only thing is, I wish they did have some type of outdoor seating for those beautiful days at the beach.

    Good? Yes. But worthy of being called King Neptune's? I'm not so sure that the god of the sea would approve of so many hits and misses. Our family of four visited this Gulf Shores dive during a vacation to the area. We studied dozens of reviews on Yelp, Urban Spoon and Trip Advisor before deciding on King Neptune's Seafood Restaurant. Some folks apparently hand out star-ratings like 25-cent fish food. Atmosphere/Service It was 7 o'clock on a Thursday night in a tourist community, so the 90-minute wait time was no big deal. We actually went across the street and played mini-golf while we waited. Fun. ~ We were seated in a comfortable booth by a window. The small place was packed to the gills, but it didn't seem like it was overcrowded. The floors, on the other hand, were littered with everything from shrimp tails to saltines. I've eaten at a shanty or two that was cleaner. Not good. Our server was friendly and mostly efficient, considering the crowd. (She twice told me that the barkeep was 'whipping up' our beer/hurricane. It was a 15-minute window. I finally joked with her that he must've had to harvest the yeast and hops. Our drinks were served within seconds.) ~ Otherwise, she knew the menu and patiently answered questions and offered suggestions. Kudos to her. Not only is she well-trained, she understands the nature of her job. The Food This is the real reason people come here, or most other places for that matter. King Neptune's food is excellent in some areas, and needs some polish in others. We ordered an appetizer of battered mushrooms with a horseradish-infused ranch dressing. Thank goodness someone out there is still using horseradish in something other than cocktail sauce. The batter on the 'shrooms was essentially room temperature, and lost its crunch before it ever hit the table. I don't completely understand why, since the order came to us fairly quickly. The same thing happened with part of my meal - the Combination Seafood Platter (a $32 dish with a little of everything). Naturally, I ordered it fried. The oysters were good - mellow tasting and fried in cornmeal. The shrimp, while nothing special, were also good. Same thing with the fish fillet (the best item on the plate - flaky, clean tasting, nice). The scallops might has well have been served naked -- sans the batter -- since it was basically cold and didn't adhere to the scallops. No offense to the owners here, or maybe so, but I've seen it done better at my local Red Lobster. Finally, the stuffed crab had the same consistency as Thanksgiving stuffing. Two things cause this: lots of bread and plenty of moisture. Also, it's an indication that something's been over-mixed. I'm sure there was some crab in this, but I took only one bite and decided it was more than enough. My wife also took a bite and agreed. ~ I can tell you that some poor crab died in vain for this dish on this night. My wife and daughter ordered the blackened Red Snapper and Mahi Mahi, respectively. Both were done very well. The fish was flaky and cooked about as well as fish can be cooked. The seasoning was also nicely done. If we lived around here, I'd likely order one of these on my next visit. All of us had cole slaw before the meal and it is classically prepared with mayo, sugar and celery seed. Tasted fresh and was served cold. Divine. We also shared a piece of fried cheesecake. Can you say Sysco? Bottom Line King Neptune's Seafood Restaurant has plenty going for it, including its marketing efforts. After eating there one time, I know that I would not again order a platter of fried food there; I also wouldn't wait 90 minutes to eat there. Not to mention, the place is quite proud of its menu and charges accordingly.

    Just had some really good seafood. We had some calamari, coconut shrimp and 2 dozen oysters on the half shell and they taste so sweet with cocktail sauces and horseradish. We also had 2 Pot boy sandwiches, one was fried oysters and other was a soft shell crab and they were amazing. We tried the key-lime pie that just melted in you mouth.

    We have eaten here for 10 years or more and have always been pretty good. But, the last several months the food quality has went down and prices have went up. You don't even get coleslaw with your meal anymore, you have to order that separately, and all you get is a tiny scoop smaller than an ice cream scoop. Our last visit, we found a fine piece of metal in our hush puppies. I would recommend to spend your money at the Oyster House or Sea N Suds!

    Kind of a hole-in-the-wall. It was PACKED when we went, so we just got our food to-go. The service was fantastic! But my food was very bland. I had the overstuffed fried shrimp Po-boy, and even the tartar sauce was bland. And my fries were soggy, but probably because I had it to-go and they just steamed in the box. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I probably wouldn't go back.

    Hands down best meal in Gulf Shores! I've been on the hunt for a meal that lived up to my high expectations in this area. I had almost given up until my lunch here the other day. The service was so friendly. The second we walked in everyone greeted us and helped get us the perfect table. I really wish I could remember the name of our waitress. She was wonderful. I started with the oysters baked with garlic sauce and Parmesan. Amazing! I'm craving more of these right now. I thought the prices on oysters were typical for the area. I had a tough time choosing an entree. Everything sounded so good. I ended up going with the blackened red snapper topped with a mango jalapeño chutney. It was cooked perfectly and that chutney was five star worthy alone! I picked fries for my side and they were worth every calorie too. I almost forgot to mention I happened to be there during happy hour. All beer, wine and drinks were half price (except frozen drinks). I believe this is Monday-Friday from 11-2. I may have the times wrong. They make a good Bloody Mary and seem to have a somewhat decent beer selection. The frozen strawberry daiquiri was the real star here though. There is alcohol in there! Don't be fooled like I was. When I saw the dessert menu I knew I couldn't resist. We ordered both the key lime pie and fried cheesecake. The key lime pie was good. It just wasn't the best I'd ever had. The fried cheesecake topped with a praline sauce was to die for! I will be dreaming about that cheesecake now. This is an absolute must stop for a meal in Gulf Shores. I can't imagine finding a better experience anywhere near here. Don't let the crowds scare you. It's a small place but they move people out quickly.

    Every time I visit Gulf Shores, I make a point to visit King Neptune's. From appetizers to desert, King Neptune never fails to disappoint. The atmosphere is ver laid back, and comfortable, it's your classic southern seafood stop. The servers are there to help, if you can't decide between all the food, and there are many options. When i visited, I got the calamari, and the bacon broiled shrimp. My family got a variety of items, things like the oysters and Diane's Burger. It was seriously delicious. The calamari was the best I've ever had because of it's sauce, and BACON COVERED SHRIMP can never disappoint. In conclusion, if you are in Gulf Shores looking for a nice, family place to stop by, King Neptune's is your place. You don't want to miss it.

    Best meal I've ever had. The prices are cheap, the service is FANTASTIC, and the food. Oh my god. I got the tilapia with feta, spinach, and kalamata olives on top, yellow squash, and some other sides with banana pie for dessert. Oh. My. God. I want to go back to Alabama solely to eat that fish. You don't even know. Legit the best. thing. I ever. ate. I can not encourage you to go to this place more and try it. I have dreams about this fish. Do it. My massive plate of food was on lunch special for $7, too. You can't beat it. It was enough food for two people. Except the fish was alllll mine.

    I feel bad for two stars because the food was was pretty good. I had the mahi mahi which was very good. However, the fries weren't hot, they were mildly warm and the food was very expensive. I spent 14 dollars on my girlfriends chicken strips that were very small. Overall the food tastes good, the staff was very friendly.

    Baked Parmesan Garlic oyster appetizer - 9/10. These were delicious Cole Slaw - 7/10. Pretty good. Not too sweet and not too wet, good flavor Fried combination platter - 6/10. Everything had a good flavor but the portions were a bit small in my opinion. 3 shrimp, 2 scallops, 2 oysters, 1 stuffed crab, 1 price of fish for $33.00. I would have like to at least see a few more shrimp. Fried Softshell Crab - 8/10. Cooked very well, better than most I have had.

    First, the waitresses were awesome. Very friendly - all of them. That alone wins points! Cheap cold beer - perfect. They have a full bar of tasty cheap cocktails. It is not a "cheap" place so don't let the outside "shack" look fool you. The food...well, isn't the best. It is what it is, I guess, for a seaside seasonal place. I had the fried Gulf shrimp platter with fries - not much flavor or even salt. I salted it all, doused it in lemon juice, and used up every bit of cocktail sauce. Fine, a fried shrimp meal is just that, but at $17.99, I was underwhelmed. I should have got coconut version as recommended on Yelp. The zydeco pasta was very tasty - lots of seafood in it. I should have ordered that (my companion did). Again - service was great!

    I had the butterfly shrimp which were very good. My friend on the other hand had the bacon wrapped shrimp that I think may have had crab in them? We really could not tell because the bacon made the inside of the fried little goody all oily and really not all the good. Another table had the same butterfly shrimp as me on a poboy that looked amazing. So I think we just got one unlucky pick.

    Best seafood!! Anything involving shrimp is the best. Everything is so delicious. Great atmosphere. They have great deals for happy hour and their happy hour. The lunch menu also has great deals. They've recently changed where you can choose your side, which I love, the onion fries are delicious.

    Outstanding experience. The owners and staff treated us like family - incredibly gracious and friendly. The royal red shrimp were incredible - sweet and salty - I will have a hard time eating regular shrimp again. The crab and corn bisque was rich and full of crab, the gumbo was perfectly seasoned and spicy with perfectly cooked okra and the good balance of ingredients. The Bushwhacker was the perfect ending (although I wished I had room for Key lime pie or fried cheesecake), which is an 'adult milkshake' with homemade ice cream and rum. It's a must visit for the Alabama gulf shore.

    Butterfly shrimp stuffed with crab meat and wrapped in bacon broiled to perfection. Now that I've got your attention... The place is super laid back - flip flops and shorts definitely welcome. Gumbo was super tasty, but the shrimp was out of this world. When I first saw them I thought it wouldn't be enough to fill me up, but they were a lot more filling than they looked. A couple of small potatoes and half an ear of sweet corn rounded the dish out. Waitress was very helpful, constantly checking on us and did an amazing job.

    Originally I wanted to dislike this place! I was recommended to go here from a guy I met on a charter boat, I was talking how great Tin Top was and he recommended King Neptune's, saying that the oysters were $7.00 a dozen. Well, as a true fisherman that he was he is also a liar, King Neptune's oysters are a stifling $17.99 a dozen. Yes, that's right the owners insane and choses to quadruple the wholesale price of his oysters, as Tin Top is $9.00 a dozen and the Jellyfish is $10.00 a dozen, so $17.99 is price prohibitive and nonsensical. If I were to just rate this restaurant on an oyster, they'd be doomed. Service, I sat at the bar and my bartender, well she was very nice, sooooooo no complaints. After I got over the bi-valves sticker shock, I came to the realization that they had a pretty good lunch menu. So I ordered the Crawfish Étouffée. This is where my opinion of this place changed greatly. The Étouffée was off the chart good. At $9.99 it was a deal. I won't ever go here for oysters, but I'll get the étouffée again!

    Place was super busy when we arrived, grabbed a few seats at the bar and decided to stay there for the meal. Our bartender, who looked a bit like Guy Fieri, was extremely nice and super helpful with the menu. He described several dishes, and made a few recommendations. The fried shrimp were perfect, the key lime pie was homemade.

    Dined at King Neptunes, a place we have been coming to for over 15 years and our meal tonight left a lot to be desired. We had grilled seafood platter and it was just average. Also over priced. We are disappointed to point we may not return.

    We absolutely adored eating here!! Our waitress, Marsha, was amazing! She was informative and very friendly. We had the Neptune's platter and it was overflowing with absolutely delicious seafood. I can't wait to come back!!!!

    I personally like the atmosphere of this place - the music selection is from 50s, 60s and maybe 70s - which is fine by me. The catch of the day - Red Snapper- was good cut of fish however the seasoning was too much and too spicy that it distracted from the snapper experience. Beer is Bud or Miller. The oysters were lacking in size to the point of almost sending them back. The battered in flour 8 piece shrimp was delicious as was the sweet potato pecan casserole. The homemade cole slaw was not bad.

    The service was great, very attentive and this place is veteran owned. Small restaurant with little wait time. Kids meals were $5 and adult meals were just enough. Price was a little higher than many places but there was no wait during the busy vacation season. I had the Caribbean Platter, it's good but a little too salty. The raw oysters were huge and great! We will def go back.

    Best hole in the wall in Gulf Shores. They have the freshest shrimp (love their coconut shrimp), the diablo pasta is yum, and the oysters that they served us from Bon Secour Bay were as large as a chicken breast - best oysters I've had yet! Plus, the owner grows her veggies in a large garden on the Gulf Shores peninsula. By the way, try the cole slaw. It's yummy too.

    We had the fried platter with shrimp, tilapia, stuffed soft shell crab, clams. Breading was light and good on the fish. Usually there is too much and it takes away from the fish, but not here. On the other fried selections, especially the shrimp the breading was not crisp and kind of mushy. The fries as well as hush puppies were just ok. Gumbo the makings of a good gumbo with nice flavor but ours came out warm/cold. Definitely try the deviled egg it was pretty good, but pass on the coleslaw. The one blaring mistake here is the menu. It is seriously so confusing we could barely tell what we were ordering. Specials are all over the place with times, prices and no substitutions. It's just a very hard menu to read that has been made way too complicated. Oh and the $1 draft beer, as I found out is super small, like 4 ounces small. I was expecting a regular size like 16 or 20 ounce, but what came out resembled a dixie cup. Well that is what it felt like anyway. So many choices for seafood in this town, you have do better than this.

    Don't know about these other reviews but our family group of 13 had a great time at this restaurant last night! We arrived about 7:45 PM on a Tuesday night and waited 30 minutes for 2 adjoining tables, which I thought was quiet reasonable! We had 2 dozen oysters on the 1/2 shell, coconut shrimp appetizer, which was good but the dipping sauce was a little sweet, parmesan baked oysters, soft shell crab dinner, oyster and soft shell crab po'boys, beers, amaretto orange blossom drinks and were quite satisfied. The bill for our 6 person family was $190 plus tip which was reasonable for the food. The atmosphere was plain and rustic, the food was DELICIOUS!

    The food was fair, but definitely not worth the hour and fifteen minute wait. When the food finally arrived, hush puppies were missing and each plate had about 5 fries total. The manager tried to make it right by having more fries and hush puppies sent out and giving us dessert. I will give them the benefit of the doubt...maybe the kitchen had new employees that were learning or something. The waitress tried to make it right. She came to our table to tell us they were fixing our food now and 30 minutes later we still didn't have food. If you're going to King Neptune, be sure you have plenty of time to kill.

    Awful!! The atmosphere is a dingy diner and the ceiling was leaking the whole time on our table. The server was pretty sassy and told us it wasn't her fault when we complained about our food. We normally don't file formal complaints but my dad got the seafood platter boiled to split with my mom and there was barely enough food to feed him let alone split. This was a $40 entree. When we looked at the menu we realized he didn't even get the crab that was supposed to go with it. The coconut shrimp we got as an appetizer was good but overcooked and you only got 5 shrimp for $10. Apparently it's a place you go to to get fried seafood as this seemed to be their speciality and what everyone else was ordering. We will never be back. Lulus was way better quality, quantity and better atmosphere.

    Arrived at 8:15 (they close @ 9:00) with a party of 8. From the get oh the hostess was less than thrilled & made her feelings very clear. The place was pretty busy & we were send outside to wait. No big deal. I went to the bar to get drinks for everyone during the wait & was met by a pretty rude bartender. She made sure I understood that we could not leave the resturaunts plastic bare are outside, this was as we paid $35 for 2 vodka & sodas & 1 draft beer. 15 mins later the called us to our table, which was split by a support beam (are we really the first party of 8 to ever decend on this place?) Waitress arrived saw that the adults had drinks & promptly disappeared leaving the 2 children with nothing. Oysters were pre-shucked & the horseradish tasted like last week. The $32, 1lb of royal reds were pitifully under seasoned & the accompanying potatoes & corn must have been cooked (only 1/2 way, potatoes were raw in the middle) in the microwave. $18 West Indies crab salad was searches with about 3oz of crab in a thimble. Overall rough dinner. We finished up around 9:10 & weren't offered dessert although there were at least 5-7 tables left dining. The waitress just dropped the bill, snarled as she had all night & split. In an area of places catering to the tourist trade King Neptunes is overpriced,the service is terrible, & the food was sad & disappointing. We'll not be going back, ever.

    I wasn't sure how to rate my last visit to King Neptune's....we frequent this restaurant and I want to state that we generally have good service and great food. This past week, we were anxious to go there....inviting special friends who had never been. As we were seated, we had to step over tons of crackers, crumbs and other tossed away food garbage. We had to ask the hostess to please sweep it up. I was sad to know that they had run out of coconut shrimp (my fav and my guests wanted it). With our salads, no crackers were brought to the table...fried shrimp were untastefully too salty...and we had to send one guest's order back...grilled fish under cooked. Ugh! The waiting staff were just not on their mark... unfriendly and personally unkept.....their personal presentation was poor (shorts ridiculously too little and unclean looking...shoes like they had been worn in a dirt pit). I was more than embarrassed to have taken my guests here. This is not a cheap place, and we truly expected more. I certainly hope that this was an unfortunate experience and that his restaurant isn't slipping into less than average status. It was very apparent that responsible leadership was not present.

    We ate here at lunch on the spur of the moment. The food was good but at 28$ the 6-8 fried oysters were way overpriced even if they were Bon Secour Select. The fries are out of the bag Krinkle fries and the hush puppies were average. My wife had fried clams which she said were good. Coconut Shrimp appetizer was good. They best part of the meal however was the fried cheesecake with praline pecan caramel sauce which was the best desert we had in Gulf Shores. 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, desert and tea was almost $80.

    Had to wait for an hour to get seated. That was ok cause they told is that upfront And they had a bar to order drinks. Food overall was good. However, they were understaffed and the waitress seemed overwhelmed. My food was overcooked. They brought me the replacement and it was undercooked. The manager did not even come to our table to see if things were ok. He was working in the kitchen because they were understaffed.

    I love this place. We eat here at least a couple of times every time we vacation in Gulf Shores. The carb bisque was great and the draft beer was ice cold in a frosted mug. The oysters were 12.00 per dz and they were great! Salty and sweet. There are cheaper places for a dozen. The boys had the fried samplers and my wife had the scallops. All were very good. Going back tonight for the steamer for four!

    We were in town for the Hangout Music Festival in May, and arrived early since we were working. It wasn't too crowded yet, and we had a nice, relaxed dinner at King Neptune. Prices are more or less what you would expect at a tourists' beach joint. We shared some darned good oysters, surprising, since the season should really be over by now. I had a softshell crab po'boy, which was way more than enough food for anyone of average appetite. There were some good drink specials, which we took full advantage of. Service was prompt, and our server was super friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

    We headed to King Neptune's because of the Yelp reviews. The food is fair to good - two in our party gave it a four, two gave it a three. We all decided on a three because the restaurant was absolutely impossible about any substitutions, requests, etc. It was iron-clad, and surprising. We ordered the fried oyster dinner ($21.99), BBQ Shrimp ($15.99), Seafood Etoufee ($9.99), and shared Bisque, Gumbo and a Key Lime Pie. Both the Etoufee and the BBQ shrimp were very good, four stars. We decided that, so far, the King Neptune Seafood Gumbo was the best we've had down here. The fried oysters were so-so. Some places have enough interesting things on the menu to justify going back to try new things. King Neptune's had a pretty standard menu, and we wouldn't go back for the variety.... though we might go back for the Gumbo.

    Hands down this was the best overall meal I ate on vacation!! They were featured in an episode of Food Nation on Food network. The staff were friendly. The captains platter had stuffed crab, oysters Rockefeller, scallops, shrimp, and flounder on it. Mouth watering good! The prices are a little higher, but I think it's still a good value. I will go here again and again!

    I'm not exactly sure why this place has the line that it does because I think you can get fried fish anywhere. Our family had the raw oysters, New Orleans baked oysters, bacon wrapped shrimp, fried crab claws, fried clams, fried catfish, crab legs & the zydeco pasta. If for some reason we decided to come back you're the only thing I would have again would be the zydeco pasta & the baked oysters. The coleslaw was good & so were the fried pickles. They also have good homemade ranch! I will also say we did have a large group & they did accommodate us by seating us all together. We called ahead & went early & they said they would do what they could, so that was great! One negative thing though is I've never been to a restaurant that gave such few fries!! So strange since that's the cheapest thing you serve! Also our server pretty didn't know anything about the menu...."what exactly are the New Orleans baked oysters?", "How many ounces is your grouper?" What happened to the days that if you didn't know the menu, you didn't serve!?. So needless to say....there are better places to eat with better service so we won't be back.

    A friend from Gulf Shores recommended this restaurant. We almost didn't stop because of the run down look, but decided to give the place the benefit of the doubt. I wish we wouldn't have. The server was "just ok" and the food was unimpressive. The mushrooms, shrimp, and fish we ate were so salty they were unedible. The raw oysters were average. We walked in with a family of 6 and they said they could not sit us at one table. We have 2 4 year olds and had plenty of room at a booth. Not worth the time or money spent.

    The restaurant was entirely too small. I would rather call in my food to go than dine in such a small cramped space. And I also believe the food was a bit overpriced, especially the gratuity.     What an awesome little restaurant! This has been by far the best seafood we have had so far in Gulf Shores. It rained the whole day, so we decided to venture out and have a nice lunch and get hubby some oysters. Every restaurant we had been to the previous day were out of oysters on the half shell. Not only did this place have them, but they had tons of options! Waitstaff: 5 stars The restaurant was mostly full when we got there around 2pm on a Monday. A waitress promptly greeted us and told us to sit wherever we would like. She then brought us some menus, got our drink order, and quickly brought back our drinks. The menu was so large, it took us a while to navigate it and figure out what we want, but she was not one bit pushy or annoying as she kept a watchful eye on us to see when we were ready. Hubby's oysters came out very fast she checked on him half way though to make sure they were to his liking. She then brought out the side cole slaw for us to eat as our order was getting finished up. Then came our food. I wanted some bread pudding later, but don't like nuts. She thought it was just in the topping and that they could make it without, so we ordered it. She came back to apologize though and let us know that it had pecans all the way through it. Big thank you to her for double checking! She was very nice as well and did a fine job of answering our menu questions. Atmosphere: 5 stars What you would expect from your typical hole-in-the-wall. The seating area is quite small, but not too crowded. The walls are covered in newspaper/magazine articles about the restaurant, and pictures from around the area. It also has your typical seafood restaurant type posters/wall art. Nothing fancy, but it's sorta interesting to look at/read. Food: 5 stars Fantastic! EVERYTHING was cooked perfectly. A refreshing change from Sea-n-Suds the night before. Hubby's oysters (6 for $7.00) came with a side of cocktail sauce and horseradish so he could make it hot to his liking. We are huge fans of restaurants that allow you to do this; Bonus points! They also brought out club and saltine crackers to go with them that I snacked on as hubby slurped his oysters down. He said they were the best he had ever had and seemed very fresh. I ordered the Fried Butterfly Shrimp and Catfish Basket: Served with French Fies, Coleslaw and Hushpuppy, $11.99. The hushpuppy was tender, flavorful, and the perfect density. The french fries were crinkled cut (who doesn't LOVE crinkle cut fried!?) and cooked perfectly. The catfish were thin strips of catfish in a cornmeal breading. They were crispy on the outside, and perfectly cooked on the inside. The shrimp were not as large as I was expecting, but they had a light batter on them and were delicious. Mine came with cocktail sauce, and I asked for a side of horseradish to customize the spiciness of it. They gladly brought me some. Hubby ordered the Golden Fried Seafood Platter: Fried Tilapia Fillet, Clam Strips, Popcorn Shrimp and a Homemade Stuffed Blue Crab Shell, $15.99. He was very impressed with it and echoed that everything was cooked perfectly. The popcorn shrimp were addictive. They were plump, sweet, and cooked perfectly. The fried tilapia was also wonderful. Since the bread pudding had pecans all the way through it, we got the Key Lime Pie ($5.75) instead. It was homemade, and you could tell! It was very dense and creamy, almost like custard, on a dense bed of hand-packed graham cracker crust. It was the perfect ratio of crisp tartness to sweetness. Prices: 4 stars I wish that my basket of food had more seafood and less fires. It was about 1/2 fries, and the other half seafood. I wasn't quiet full, and wish it was a bit more food for $12, but the quality was so high, that I don't mind. Hubby had about twice as much food, if not more, as me for only $4 more. His plate seemed like a very fair price for the quality and quantity that he got. When our bill came we were happy to pay the price and thought overall it was worth it. Menu: 5 stars WOW! It was either 6 or 8 pages, crammed full of options. They had a large variety of cooking options, mixtures of baskets and plates, and items seasoned different ways. If you like seafood, you are bound to find several things you can't leave without trying. Overall: 5 stars This place was so awesome, I think we will be going back! We had a hard time trying to decide what we wanted, and there is plenty to go back for! I highly recommend it for lunch or dinner!

    The food was bland and over priced. I was impressed. I got the broiled shrimp/ fish/scallops meal for $14.99 - it came in a small saucer boat with a small piece of fish 4 rubbery bait sized shrimp and 2 scallops. We ordered a starter of oysters on special for $7.99 a dozen, they were the highlight of the meal. The Étouffée also was good and if someone was to go here that is what i would recommend. I am not sure why this spot has so many positive reviews. I would not go here again.

    AMAZING!!! We came here based on reviews in Southern Living and Food Network. Well, the reviews don't do this place justice. We are fans of eating out and of seafood in general. Every bite of food was the most amazing and freshly prepared seafood I have ever eaten. Our sever, Susie, was so welcoming and friendly and made us feel right at home. The owners, Diane and Al greeted us personally and shared a piece of their dream with us by providing a quality meal served up with a home made essence you can't find at most restaurants. Thank you for the best meal on our vacation!

    Overall it was not a good experience. For the price of the food I don't think you get very much. My father ordered tuna a and wanted it cooked to medium. It came out well done they took it back and than brought out a rare done tuna! The manager was to busy to come out and apologize. We will never be back there it's over priced and service is not the greatest!

    Ordered a shrimp po-boy and was not disappointed. The shrimp was absolutely perfect: crisp and flavorful. Fries were hot. Waitstaff was friendly but seemed a little overwhelmed. The wait was far shorter than the big, famous restaurants over here and I dare say the food was probably better. My ten-year-old called it 'amazing' and 'worth the wait'.

    At the insistence of friends who were at the beach at the same time as us, we all went to dinner at King Neptune. Our friends kept raving about this place being a hidden gem with "great seafood". Well, here's the deal. King Neptune is a small old garishly painted building with fake interior wood paneling, all of which has seen better days. They don't take reservations and it was so small that our only option while waiting was to sit on benches outside facing the parking lot. For an HOUR long wait. To fortify ourselves, we asked about their white wine selection only to be told that the two white wines they served were "white zinfandel" and chardonnay. Gross. My husband decided to try their frozen margarita which was little more than a lime flavored slushy. After waiting an hour, we ate King Neptune's overpriced greasy seafood at tables densely packed next to other tables. The clientele was mostly families with rowdy kids shoveling french fries in their mouths in between shouting. Not impressed and not going back.

    My wife and I stopped in during our stay in Gulf Shores and were very impressed when we came here for lunch one day based off of Yelp reviews. The place is a hole in the wall and you may question what is in store for you when you sit down (it is a shack with a lack-luster interior), but the food is excellent. I would never have thought that I would actually be able to give 5-stars to a place where I ate *fried* seafood, but the staff has frying seafood down to an art. I have never had such perfectly cooked food come out of a vat of oil! The shrimp were tender, the clam strips were tender (I really haven't ever had clam strips that were not jerky-like), and the hush puppies are great. The slaw is made fresh and tastes excellent. My wife and I shared an appetizer of coconut shrimp and it was very good. Again, fried perfectly and the homemade orange marmalade complemented it perfectly. My wife and I enjoyed the lunch visit so much, we went back for a dinner later in the week and I tried out the Oysters for an appetizer. They were great as well...and I followed them up with another round of the fried shrimp and clams. I would say that if you go, don't expect high-end dining or a quite/intimate atmosphere. Expect waits and noise during the busy hours and expect to eat fried seafood. Our healthy eating habits stayed in the car and we really did enjoy ourselves. If we make it back to Gulf Shores, we will be hitting this place up again!

    Decent food, good service, a little pricey. I had broiled sea scallops with red potatoes, corn on the cob, cole slaw and a mango salsa. It was generic in an ok way, not special. Not much of a beer selection, ended up having a very small mug of Yuengling. Bill was about $30 for a meal that didn't seem to be worth it. It's kind of a diner style place, which probably contributed to it feeling over-priced. The service was very friendly and fast. We didn't have to wait for a table at 7pm on a Thurs. Overall not a bad place but I probably won't seek it out again.

    The food was lousy. Sorry but I don't want others led astray by good reviews for this nasty food. Typical food you find at a beach restaurant: tasteless, rubbery fish, fake scallops, fried nastiness. Just paid $125 for a disgusting meal for 4. The only bright spot was very good service which earns it one star. You would be better off going to Captain D's. This place exemplifies the saddest irony about vacationing on the gulf: despite the fact that fresh seafood is readily available, it seems impossible to find high-quality, well-prepared seafood here. Go somewhere else....you will thank me for this advice!!!

    Gumbo, oysters and shrimp were great! Half priced drinks before two and outstanding service. We are from the Maryland eastern shore and are used to great seafood. Capt Neptune's did not disappoint us!

    Sat in the booth for about 20 mins before anyone took our order. My wife had the blackened shrimp. The shrimp wasn't cleaned properly, and did not have good flavor. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the seasoning? I had a Caesar salad that was underwhelming. A few shrimp with a little bit of cheese and dressing. Very bland. The seafood gumbo was ok.

    As a local joint with friendly service, they get 2/5 stars. We ordered Chipotle shrimp (12 pieces) for $9 and deep sea scallops (6 pieces)for $22. They both came with fries, but everything came from frozen products! The shrimp heavily covered with Cajun seasoning to cover its tasteless frozen origin and were tiny pieces. The scallops had a sprinkle of the same seasoning to give a little flavor, and its center was very sponge-like if you ever cooked with frozen seafood. The fries were the biggest clue that were previously frozen since they were the same as the fries you get from elementary school's cafeteria but reheated in the oven to add a crispy texture. Nothing here to write home about and most likely not return.

    Their gumbo is incredible. Had a tossed salad too, hard to screw that up. But the most incredible thing on the menu.....fried cheesecake! I have eaten a lot of deserts all over the world, this is one of the best deserts I have ever eaten. Needs to be on the Food Network. Not joking!

    Another annual beach trip, another round of visits to King Neptune's. Our little group had pretty much settled on eating here every night when we're in the area. And, that's exactly what happened on my recent weekend trip to Orange Beach. Night one was another stellar meal. (Get the bisque. You know you want it.) Night two started out well then the poor waitress lost control of a tray of drinks and spilled water all over my two nieces (ages 6 and 9 months.) They were both soaked to the bone and there was a lot of screaming and crying (and, I'll admit it, laughing on my part.) The waitress was mortified and incredibly apologetic. It was just one of things that happens. However, I guess I've become accustomed to frequenting restaurants that attempt to make it right when something like this happens. Like I said, we did get loads of apologies... but seriously, what kind of restaurant doesn't at the very least send over a dessert or comp an entree or something when a situation like this happens? Nada, zip, zilch from the folks at King Neptune. My six year old niece was in total and complete meltdown mode because her hair and dress were completely soaked. Would it have killed them to offer a little girl whose night was ruined a clean, dry t-shirt so should could stay with her family and eat dinner (she and her mom ended up leaving and taking their food to-go)? Our group of three adults and two children easily spent $500+ eating there over the course of the week (I was only there two nights but everyone else was at the beach for a week and they ate there pretty much every night.) The whole thing just really soured me on going back when we're in town next year. Good food only gets you so far in my book. Two stars, to be exact. Service is the differentiator and King Neptune's really let me down when they didn't even attempt to make things right.

    This place is really good. We went there for lunch when we arrived in Gulf Shores on a rainy afternoon and it was just what we were looking for. It was obvious that they save money on the decor to focus on the quality and taste of their food. The lunch menu was awesome with great selection at great prices. Table had: Gumbo, Crab Claws, Crab stuffed tilapia, a Greek fish with a Greek salad and homemade fettuccine Alfredo for the kiddo that doesn't like seafood. The bill was $41... Perfect! Deducted 1 star for the server which was nice, but a little lost.

    This is one of the few restaurants in Gulf Shores that the locals actual go too. This was an informal survey I took after eating at King's Neptune. The food was excellent. The service excellent. The ambiance was a bit fast food but still enjoyable. The soups are all excellent.

    Food was excellent, service (Holly) was top notch. The girlfriend (a Bloody Mary aficionado) said the regular Bloody Mary ($2.75) was awesome! When we arrived via GPS we said, 'This can't be the place! A small place but don't let the surroundings cloud your opinion of the food. We will be back before we head back north. Try it, you will like it!

    We returned to King Neptune's for lunch after a multi- year boycott due to one bad service experience. Oh, what we've been missing! Although busy, they cheerfully accommodated our party of six by moving a table. The Lunch Specials are the stars of the show. $4.95 to $6.95 gets you the entree, two sides, a drink, and dessert!! Predominantly seafood, there are a couple of options for those who don't want fish. Our group had the lemon-lime talapia, Greek talapia, and fried chicken. All were hot, tasty and an appropriate size portion. We also ordered a shrimp Po' Boy. WOW.......at least 8 large shrimp and plenty of fries. I always say, "follow the locals". If you do that in Gulf Shores, you're likely to end up in King Neptune's parking lot. It's good to be back, old friend.

    Don't let the outside scare you away. I recommended this place to another couple and they turned away simply because of the looks from the outside. Their loss. I eat here every time I visit the area. The grilled Tuna is excellent. It comes with a Mango salsa that is a perfect blend of flavor. It's small so get here early.

    Simply put, great seafood. It is a shack of a place and the staff tends to come and go from bad to good. But we always try to make it to King Neptune's once a trip because it is good enough to gamble on the service.

    Husband and I stumbled across this place back in April of this year and decided to visit again today. Service is outstanding and the food is out of this world. I ordered the Caribbean Platter, which had grilled Yellowfin Tuna, Jumbo Shrimp on a skewer and fried Coconut Shrimp. The meal also came with a creole marmalade. All I can say is.....wow. My husband had the broiled large deep sea scallops and they just melted in my mouth when I tried a bite. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone because it is definitely worth the trip!

    Great seafood, waitresses worked their tails off to make sure you were taken care of! Not much seating so expect a long wait in peak summer time, but I don't mind as much if food and service is good. I had shrimp Alfredo, husband had soft shell crab Po boy and daughter had flounder all were great. Cole slaw was fresh and yummy too!

    This place has really fallen off since it changed management a few months ago. My parents live nearby and for the last few years when I was in town we always made a point to eat here but last spring my opinion changed and I haven't been back. We ordered oysters and they were terrible to the point of being in edible. We told the waitress and she disappeared in a tiff and some guy who claimed to be the manager showed up and his attitude was like "so what", not my problem. You ordered em you eat em. He then volunteered without any mention by me about the bill that he wasn't discounting the tab. I never asked him to and told him that was not the purpose of my complaint. I thought someone needed to know the food was terrible. And now the service fell into that category as well. I paid my bill in full and left never to return. Sad they have ruined what was a good place to eat. There are several places in the area with much better food and hands down better service. Q

    I have to give it only 3 stars because my Zydeco pasta was fabulous but my wife's Mahi was dreadful. Oysters were pretty good but I don't eat oysters very much so I have nothing to compare it to. If you like spicy seafood, don't pass on the Zydeco. But my better half may never eat Mahi again. Overcooked. Tough. If we had not been with friends who raved about the place, she would have sent it back. Must have been cheap quality.

    The food and service was good but the cost of the beer was outrageous! We had three beers and it came to $18! $6 a bottle is crazy! That was the biggest part of our bill. So I guess they make up for the low prices on the food by marking up the beer prices.

    Our favorite restaurant in Gulf Shores! You can get fried seafood anywhere and it all pretty much tastes the same. I would recommend getting one of the fish options - blackened. I had the red snapper, it was delicious. It comes with a mango salsa which is off the chart.

    Very friendly stafff Reasonable prices Yummy food I tried the seafood burrito-- they used some great spices and I still find myself wanting to return to try it again. I sampled off others plates --- shrimp po'boy was delicious and the seafood quesadilla was a nice alternative. If you are in the area be sure to stop by and get some genuine fresh seafood.

    Great place! Stopped in here to get some yummy take out. They were packed as all get out, and I sat at the bar and placed my order. The bartender was busy, really busy, but got to me fast and was great. I ordered an oyster po-boy and two fried seafood platters. They were expensive, $22 each, but came with shrimp, a crab cake, flounder, scallaps, hush puppies, fried oysters, cole slaw, and both cocktail and tartar sauce. They were excellent. My poboy was loaded with oysters and fresh tomato and lettuce. I had an ice cold corona while waiting, and the place was packed full the whole time. I ordered at 6:10 Sunday night, and left at 6:30 a happy guy. Also, the menu noted the source of thier seafood, with everything I saw being gulf coast. Go here, you'll love it!
